Behind Skye: Why I Started Skye Jewellery

Hi, I’m Rebecca — the founder of Skye Jewellery, a Galway-born brand built from my love of jewellery and a desire to create something meaningful.

Skye began during a really difficult chapter in my life. I’ve been living with chronic Lyme disease for years, and with symptoms every single day, I had to step away from a job I loved in a jewellery shop. But my passion for jewellery never faded — so I decided to create my own brand.

I noticed there weren’t many places in Galway offering high-quality, affordable jewellery that actually lasts. That’s when I discovered stainless steel — pieces that are waterproof, tarnish-resistant, and made to be worn every day.

Skye became more than just a business — it became a way to bring a bit of light into my life and, hopefully, into others’ too. I truly believe that everyone deserves to feel good in their jewellery, no matter what they’re going through or what battles they’re fighting behind the scenes.

With Skye, my mission has always been simple: to create beautiful, long-lasting jewellery that makes you feel confident, strong, and seen — because you deserve it. ✨
